FOAM FRIENDS - WHO ARE YOU DOLLS
Students create personalized dolls from Presto Foam Printing Plates that resemble themselves. They can trace, cut out shapes, and decorate using markers, pens or any glueable craft item. They can draw their own faces on the dolls and design their own clothing.
This project Illustrates to children that we are all special and unique. Perfect for combining with multi-cultural lessons.
POP ART Foam Printing Self Portrait
Students will practice drawing facial features by drawing themselves on to a Presto Foam Printing Plate and using that image to create a mono print.
By making 3 prints in either primary or secondary colors, students will begin to gain an understanding of printmaking, color theory and POP Art movement.
SECONDARY LESSON PLANS
ENDANGERED SPECIES - THEIR IMPRESSION ON US
Students expand their knowledge of printmaking by using Inovart ECO Karve printing plate made from recycled material and traditional printmaking tools. This lesson focuses on the importance the environment, endangered animals, and learning to use safety techniques while carving.
Lesson can be modified for educator specific standards and can be used for students to create either a mono print or reduction print.
LANDSCAPES MAKE AN IMPRINT
Educate students on the importance of their environment. Students will continue to practice printmaking skills by taking a photo or magazine image of a landscape that interests them.
They will practice drawing techniques and use of printmaking tools to create a series of 3 prints in either mono print or reduction printing. This lesson can easily be modified to the educators’ specific standards and design.
